Student board member. Originally from the South Bay of California, I moved to Oregon 5 years ago to attend Western Oregon University. During my undergrad, I was a research assistant for the Psychological Sciences Department head, and conducted two of my own studies on anchoring and effects on mood. I volunteered with a non-profit organization based out of Salem called Family Building Blocks.
I am currently a graduate student in Lewis & Clark College’s Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy program. My intended focus post-graduation will be working with grieving families as a result of a death, experiencing anticipatory loss, or other significant losses. The impact of the losses I have experienced has drawn me to want to understand the spectrum of other’s experiences of loss and guide them to their desired level of understanding and coping.
